Marshmello

Marshmello is a prominent figure in electronic dance music, known for his masked persona and signature white marshmallow helmet. As a DJ and producer, Marshmello creates groove-oriented, synth- and bass-heavy tracks that have achieved significant mainstream crossover success. Drawing comparisons to other masked dance music artists such as Daft Punk and Deadmau5, Marshmello maintains anonymity by wearing a full marshmallow-shaped head covering at public appearances.

Marshmello initially gained international attention by publishing remixes online, including those of songs by Jack Ü and Zedd, before collaborating with artists such as Khalid, Selena Gomez, Anne-Marie, and Logic. After releasing his first original song on SoundCloud, Marshmello received support from established DJs like Skrillex and performed at events including New York's Pier 94, HARD Day of the Dead festival in Pomona, California, and Miami Music Week.

His debut album, "Joytime," reached number five on the Billboard electronic/dance chart, followed by two consecutive number one dance albums, "Joytime II" and "Joytime III." Notable tracks such as "Happier" with Bastille, "Friends" with Anne-Marie, "Alone," "Silence" with Khalid, and "Wolves" with Selena Gomez have each accumulated hundreds of millions to over a billion streams on platforms like Spotify and Apple Music. Several of these songs reached the Top 30 of the Billboard Hot 100 and have been certified multi-platinum in multiple countries.

Marshmello has received industry recognition, including Best Electronic Artist at the MTV Europe Music Awards, Best New Pop Artist at the iHeartRadio Music Awards, and Top Dance/Electronic Artist at the Billboard Music Awards. His fourth album, "Shockwave," featured collaborations with Juicy J, Megan Thee Stallion, and Subtronics, reached number three on Billboard's Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart, and earned Marshmello a Grammy Award nomination. He made history by performing a live virtual concert inside the video game Fortnite, attracting more than 10 million viewers and becoming the first artist to hold a virtual concert in the game.

Marshmello collaborated with Sony Latin and artists including Farruko, Anuel AA, and Nicky Jam on the Latin dance crossover album "Sugar Papi," which topped the Electronic Albums chart. His work with country singer Kane Brown on "Miles on It" led the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart and reached number 29 on the Mainstream Top 40. Additional country collaborations include "Holy Water" with Jelly Roll and "Another Drink" with Kelsea Ballerini. Marshmello continues to bridge mainstream pop and electronic music, headlining major festivals such as EDC and Tomorrowland, and maintains a long-running Las Vegas residency.
