Curt Menefee

Curt Menefee is recognized in American sports broadcasting as the host of "FOX NFL Sunday," the most-watched NFL pregame show in the United States. A veteran studio and game broadcaster, Menefee has played a significant role in the program's enduring success. The show has been inducted into the National Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame. Menefee joined as the full-time host, working alongside co-host Terry Bradshaw and studio analysts Howie Long, Michael Strahan, Rob Gronkowski, and NFL Insider Jay Glazer. As the only non-Super Bowl champion at the desk, Menefee manages the group dynamic while ensuring each member contributes their perspectives.

Menefee's career in sports media began with internships at CNN and on-air reporting while attending Coe College. After graduation, he held sports directing and anchoring positions in Des Moines, Madison, Jacksonville, and Dallas, where he became a sports director at a major television station. He later moved to New York to anchor at WNYW Fox 5 and host on MSG Network. During his tenure in New York, Menefee received the Associated Press Award for Best Sports Reporter and earned four Katie Awards for Best Sportscast and Best Sports Special. At FOX Sports, he started as a sideline reporter and transitioned to play-by-play announcer for NFL and NFL Europe League coverage.

Menefee's broadcasting experience spans multiple sports. He hosted Fox's coverage of the UEFA Champions League Final, marking the first over-the-air broadcast of the tournament's championship game in the United States. He also served as host for UFC on Fox and led FOX Sports coverage of the U.S. Open Championship and the Belmont Stakes. Menefee expanded his portfolio as the lead play-by-play announcer for the UFL, working with analyst Joel Klatt and reporter Brock Huard. In addition to "FOX NFL Sunday," he hosts "The OT," a FOX football show featuring game highlights and expert analysis.

Outside of broadcasting, Menefee has pursued academic and civic interests. He earned a master's degree in public policy and administration from Northwestern University and served as keynote speaker at the Northwestern School of Professional Studies convocation. Menefee is the author of the book "Losing Isn't Everything: The Untold Stories of Hidden Lessons Behind the Toughest Losses in Sports History," which explores the experiences of athletes defined by defeat and the broader lessons these stories offer. He has delivered commencement speeches at Coe College, where he was awarded an honorary doctorate in journalism, and serves on the Board of Trustees at the institution. Menefee is also an avid traveler, having visited all seven continents and nearly 96 countries.
