Christopher Storer

Christopher Storer is an American screenwriter, director, and producer known for his work in television and film. Storer first gained recognition through collaborations with comedian Bo Burnham, co-directing the comedy specials "what." and "Make Happy," and producing Burnham's debut film "Eighth Grade." The film received the DGA Award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in First-Time Feature Film.

Storer has served as executive producer and director on the Hulu series "Ramy," contributing to stories that explore identity and belonging. His work in comedy includes producing and directing specials for HBO and Netflix, collaborating with comedians such as Bo Burnham, Chris Rock, Hasan Minhaj, Jerrod Carmichael, Drew Michael, Lil Rel Howery, Ramy Youssef, Dan Soder, and Whitmer Thomas. Storer received the Peabody Award for directing the Netflix comedy special "Hasan Minhaj: Homecoming King."

As creator, writer, director, and executive producer of the FX series "The Bear," Storer has contributed to the evolution of contemporary television. The series, set in Chicago, follows chef Carmy Berzatto as he manages his family's Italian beef sandwich shop. "The Bear" explores themes of culinary excellence, family dynamics, grief, and ambition, and has been recognized for its energy, humor, and emotional depth.

Storer has earned four Primetime Emmy Awards for his work on "The Bear," including Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series for the episode "Review," Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series for the pilot episode "System," and, as an executive producer, Outstanding Comedy Series. He also received a DGA Award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Comedy Series for the episode "Fishes."

Storer continues to develop projects in television and film, including an adaptation of Sarah Harman's book "All the Other Mothers Hate Me" for FX and "The Winter of Frankie Machine," based on the novel by Don Winslow, for Paramount Pictures.
