Emmy Rossum

Emmy Rossum is an actress, singer, producer, and director whose career encompasses opera, film, television, and music. Rossum began performing professionally as a child with the Metropolitan Opera, appearing in more than 20 operas in six languages at Lincoln Center alongside artists such as Placido Domingo and Luciano Pavarotti. Her training in stagecraft and classical vocal technique at the Met contributed to her facility with language and dialect, supporting her transition to television and film.

Rossum's early screen work includes an Independent Spirit Award-nominated performance in the film "Songcatcher" and a role in Clint Eastwood's "Mystic River." She received a Golden Globe Award nomination for her portrayal of Christine in the Joel Schumacher-directed feature "The Phantom of the Opera," and earned recognition from the National Board of Review and the Broadcast Film Critics Association. Rossum also appeared in the science fiction film "The Day After Tomorrow."

Rossum has expanded her work as a producer and storyteller, starring in and executive producing the Peacock series "Angelyne." She also appeared in the Apple TV+ series "The Crowded Room" and executive produced the Starz series "Three Women," based on the book by Lisa Taddeo. Rossum has been involved in the Hulu drama series "Furious," a loose remake of the film "Black Widow," in which she plays an FBI agent.
