Andrew D. Wirth Biography

Mr. Wirth has served as President and CEO since July 2010 and has more than 25 years in the mountain resort and hospitality management industry. Mr. Wirth came to Squaw from Vancouver based Intrawest ULC where he served as the company’s Chief Marketing Officer and Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Prior to his work in the ski industry, Mr. Wirth was a backcountry ranger in Rocky Mountain National Park and wildland firefighter on an initial attack Hot Shot crew and a Wilderness Ranger in New Mexico. Wirth’s awards include the 2002 Steamboat Springs Business Leader of the Year Award and the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority’s 2012 Outstanding Service Award. An active community leader, Mr. Wirth currently serves as Chairman and President of Lake Tahoe Winter Olympic Committee Board of Directors and a member of the Board of Directors for the Tahoe Fund, the Board of Directors of the Tahoe Truckee Community Foundation, the Board of Directors of the Friends of Squaw Creek, and the Board of Directors of the North Lake Tahoe Resort Association.
