Paola Sturla Biography

Paola Sturla is a landscape architect with a background in architecture and classical studies. She graduated at Harvard University with a Master in Landscape Architecture, with distinction, and from Politecnico di Milano with a Master in Architecture. Paola’s main research and practice interest is on the relationship between spaces, ecology and adaptive design strategies. Paola built a strong professional experience practicing in the field of architecture and landscape architecture both in Italy and China, working on teams for international high profile design competitions and urban master plans, as well as several small scale residential and retail spaces. Those projects include mixed use real estate development in Venice (Italy), a school building (Italy), a monument proposal for the Youth Olympics in Nanjing, and a theoretical landscape project for Guomao intersection in Beijing. Paola also worked on a proposal for a contemporary art museum in Milano, and participated at La Biennale exposition in Venice.
