Our objective is to dramatically increase the scale and availability of solar power and to compete effectively with other sources of grid-based power generation. We are doing this by coupling our proven free-piston Stirling engine with a dish-style solar concentrator to produce 3.2 kW of grid-quality AC power and by harnessing the manufacturing might of the world's automotive industry. We combine industry-leading solar product performance with massive production scale to dramatically lower the cost of solar power. The PowerDish does not consume water or need flat ground to operate and can be deployed in numbers that fit within existing transmission and distribution system constraints. These attributes enable deployments in solar parks ranging in size from a few units to thousands of units.
