Cara Banks Biography
Cara Robinson Banks is a British sports broadcaster. She is perhaps best known for having hosted the Golf Channel's "Morning Drive," and she currently anchors the Golf Channel's PGA Tour coverage. In 2020, she was Golf Channel's main presenter for the Masters tournament in Augusta.
Banks grew up in a sports-loving family, with her late brother, Myles, and her father even winning a major golf tournament together. Her father runs a company that organizes golf holidays, and her mother was the president of the British Alpine Racing Ski Clubs.
Banks followed in her parents' footsteps and turned her love of golf into a career. She started out as an assistant producer for the golfing arm of IMG Media. That job entailed a lot of traveling around the world covering golf tournaments. Banks then moved to the front of the camera, covering the sport for Golfing World on Sky Sports in the UK.
In 2015, she found a job as a co-host on the Golf Channel’s "Morning Drive," when Holly Sonders moved to Fox Sports. She has since gone on to anchor the Golf Channel's PGA Tour coverage. Banks has had the privilege of interviewing numerous golf personalities and has helmed feature stories for NBC Sports.
