Cheryl L. Hyman is chancellor of City Colleges of Chicago (CCC), where she manages a budget of nearly $500 million and 5,800 employees, as well as ensures the success of more than 120,000 students. Her vision is to build a world-class institution that prepares students to move into higher education and provides them with the skills to be employable in the 21st century economy. Before her appointment as chancellor last year, Hyman served as vice president of operations strategy and business intelligence at ComEd, the main supplier of electricity to the Chicago region. She joined ComEd in 1996 and held positions in various departments of the company, including community relations, information technology, and transmission and distribution.
