ABOUT MY WORK

As an Interactive Communication & Social Media Specialist I've been a business developer focused on Online & Mobile technologies for 10 years. I have expertise delivering Interactive Integrated Solutions through a wide range of digital platforms combining WEB, MOBILE and SOCIAL MEDIA. Through all this years I've been studying the impact technology had on the evolution of the human being, how this has affected the way we relate with each other and our behaviour as consumers.

As an Entrepreneur, my biggest accomplishment is MILKnCOOKIES, Digital Agency declared "top 5 leader in E-Entertainment" by the World Summit Award organised by the UN, and declared as 1 of the 8 "Global Champions" awarded by the World Summit on the Information Society during the 10 year review in UNESCO. Both are awards for "building knowledge societies for peace and sustainable development".

My latest endeavour is called DIGITAL AWARENESS, a Program that aims to empower women through technology by creating new job opportunities that allow them to export specialized social media services based on specific niche needs.

As a Speaker, I’ve been giving Workshops, Talks and Conferences at events on technology, entrepreneurship, and self-improvement—topics on which I’ve been invited to speak at nearly every university in the country. I believe that sharing knowledge and experiences is a very powerful way of contributing for a better world, and I am personally committed to that cause! When we share knowledge, others can take that information as a seed and make it grow into amazing things. Offer information of value to others, make it viral, connect the dots and be amazed by the results. Based on this idea I create the Digital Consulting Program MnC RECIPES to share what I’ve learn the past 10 years, so we can create shared value and change the world together!

As an Artist my work is based on the idea of communicating positive messages through colorfull and big format canvas, with a contemporary and a very modern aesthetic. My latest collection is called “Something to Share” compose of 15 pieces each one communicating my life’s philosophy… The central piece is called “Happiness is a Choice!”.

ABOUT MY COMMITMENT TO THE WORLD

My real achievements in life have been a series of things that have create a positive impact in my life and the ones around me. I do believe that little things can make a big difference but enough of them can really change the world! Leaving the world slightly more inspiring, beautiful and sustainable than when you found it—that's success to me.

This is the reason I accepted the invitation from the WORLD ECONOMIC FORUM to be the Founding Curator of GLOBAL SHAPERS GUATEMALA. This Community is diverse in demographics, geographical areas and sectors. However, it is united by a common desire to channel the members tremendous energy and enthusiasm into building a more peaceful and inclusive world.

I’m also member of the Board of Advisors of LEVANTEMOS LA VOZ, Official Ambassador of TELETON GUATEMALA, Official Ambassador of WRITE ON GUATEMALA, and Co-Hosts at the radio talk show URBAN HEALTH where I talk about why giving is good for our health. #DoGoodFeelGood.

In 2014, after creating a methodology based on the concept of using Social Media to Create Shared Value for companies on the private sector, I’ve been recognized as “1 OF THE 10 INNOVATORS IN LATIN AMERICA” by the Inter-American Development Bank and Chosen as 1 of the 22 women around the world to participate in the “GLOBAL WOMEN’S MENTORING PROGRAM” organized by Fortune Most Powerful Women, U.S. State Department and Vital Voices. Locally I’ve been awarded as “OUTSTANDING PROFESSOR OF THE YEAR” by Universidad del Itsmo.

In 2013 I was declared as “WOMEN OF THE YEAR” by Look Magazine and was chosen as “FOUNDING CURATOR” of Global Shapers Guatemala by the World Economic Forum. MILKnCOOKIES was declared “1 of the 8 WSIS + 10 GLOBAL CHAMPIONS" by the World Summit Award in UNESCO and presented as a “SUCCES CASE IN GUATEMALA” at Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. Locally MILKnCOOKIES was awarded for its “INNOVATION IN EDUCATION” by Senacyt / Concyt.

In 2012 MILKnCOOKIES was Awarded as one of the “Top 5 leaders in E-Entertainment” by the World Summit Award. Locally we received “El Pescador de Ideas” by the Innovation Marketing Summit and were Finalist as “PyME EXPORTADOR” by AGEXPORT.

In 2011 MILKnCOOKIES won 1er place in “Innovation” an award by Sofex and was Finalist as “Nuevo Exportador” by AGEXPORT.
