William Hortz is an independent consultant and Founder of Strategic Account Management Solutions, Inc. which is dedicated to providing Senior Management and Strategic Account/Business Development professionals a proven process to maximize retention, increase profitability and ensure future growth. We believe in the transformative power of the Strategic Account process in Business Strategy and support its practitioners in its execution.

Bill has more than 25 years of Sales Management, Business Strategy, Change Management and Strategic Accounts experience with wide-ranging organizations like OppenheimerFunds (a major financial services firm), Countrywide (a leading home mortgage originator), and Peregrine Holdings (HK) (a then leading Asian investment bank).

Bills years of experience has led him to his strong belief, passion and advocation for the Strategic Account Process as a major component of Business Strategy. This drive has led him to be one of only 60 professionals world-wide to have attained the Global Account Management Certification by both Columbia Business School and St. Gallen University (Switzerland), each leading business schools on their continents.

Bill loves working with professional teams and considers himself a student of human nature. Bill is well known for his enthusiasm, creativity, resourcefulness and has lectured extensively on topics regarding personal productivity and strategic planning. He is married, with two grown children, living on the Gulf Coast of Florida. Bill enjoys theatre, reading, bicycling, spelunking and traveling with his family.
