Matt Lewis Biography
Matt was born in Bristol, England, in 1974. He trained as a marine biologist first at Bangor University and then at Aberdeen University, and gained an MSc with distinction in Marine and Fisheries Science.
The Sudur Havid was his first deployment as a Scientific Observer - he went on to complete another deployment (without sinking) before moving on to a warmer, drier career.
Matt worked as a presenter at Blue Planet Aquarium and at Chester Zoo, where he organised and gave educational talks and animal handling sessions.
A move north to Aberdeen in 2003 led to Matt setting up 'Mr. Bug,' taking animals into schools and visitor attractions for educational sessions.
In between running Mr. Bug and running around after his two children, Matt has written "Last Man Off" and is overjoyed to see it published.
