Josh Voorhees is a senior writer at Slate magazine, where he covers public policy, politics, and current affairs. Previously, he ran the site's news blog, The Slatest.
Prior to joining the site, he reported on energy policy and politics for Politico and Greenwire. Before that, he covered courts and crime for a small South Carolina daily. His work has also been published by the New York Times and Scientific American, and he has been featured as a guest on public radio in the United States and abroad. He was a 2013 fellow at the Kiplinger Program in Public Affairs Journalism.
He is a graduate of Davidson College, and lives in Iowa City.
