Carlotta Taylor is not just a survivor of child abuse who endured multiple home placements but has developed into a champion, overcoming all odds, who no longer flinches at adversity but overcomes with authority. With that authority coupled with her passion, she continues to empower others in knowing that they too can overcome.
Taylor has committed her life to walking in her purpose of being an inspiration and light to the world to change the stigma attached to foster youth placed in multiple foster care homes.
Taylor’s relentless drive, focus and attention to detail is what helped propel her from police officer to detective to federal police officer; in various investigative units such as child protection, robbery homicide, back grounds including a federal police officer. In addition to her law enforcement experience Ms. Taylor is also a veteran who served 8 years as a reservist in the United States Military.
Taylor is the author of the best-selling book, “No More Flinching,” and a certified speaker, trainer and coach with the John Maxwell team. She holds a bachelors in Social Services, a masters in Science in Leadership from Belhaven University and is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Taylor is the founder of the non-profit organization, Somebody Step In.
