Caren Heller Biography
Caren Heller is the chief scientific officer at the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America, where she is responsible for all mission-related activities, including research efforts, patient and provider support, and education programs. Previously, she was associate dean for Intercampus and Industry Initiatives at Weill Cornell Medical College. Heller has prior work experience, as a consultant or as an employee, at various large biopharmaceutical companies, including Pfizer, Abbott, Takeda, and Baxter, and in start-up companies related to pharmaceutical drug development, medical/commercial evaluation of new therapies and technologies, and strategic planning. Heller received her A.B. from Harvard University, M.D. from Columbia University's College of Physicians and Surgeons, and M.B.A. from The University of Chicago Booth Graduate School of Business.
