Her most recent book, Love It or Lose It: Living Clutter-Free Forever! was launched on Home Shopping Network. She is currently writing a new book entitled Taming the Paper Tiger in the Digital Age: There’s an Easy Switch. The Paper Tiger methodology is featured in Taming the Paper Tiger software – a filing system “guaranteed to find anything in your office in five seconds or less.” The product is now used in settings ranging from an Illinois pig farm to executive offices of Fortune 100 companies. Her proprietary processes include The 8-Hour Miracle™ and The Paper Tiger Productivity System™ which guarantee a ten percent increase in productivity by any measure the client chooses. A pioneer in the field of professional organizing, Barbara started her business in 1978 with a $7 ad in a New York City newspaper. Barbara's business grew out of the lessons learned growing up on a farm in Nebraska. Her formal training was in music and education. Barbara sees organizing as an art form, and invites her clients to: “paint a picture of the kind of life you want to live, and we will help you create and sustain a productive environment that will enable you to get there.” She has lived in the West Indies, India, New York City, and Washington, DC. While living in India, she adopted three children. In addition, she has two stepchildren and one grandchild. She now lives in Raleigh, North Carolina with her husband Alfred Taylor.
