Called a breakthrough in daytime, by The New York Times, Wendy Williams burst onto the national talk show scene in July 2009 with the launch of her daily, syndicated program, The Wendy Williams Show. Her hit show appears on FOX Network across the United States and on cable channel BET throughout the United States and internationally. The show has been renewed through the 2011-2012 season and began airing in the United Kingdom, Africa, and the Middle East in July 2010.

Wendy is featured twice in the September 2010 issue of Essence Magazine as part of their '40 Fierce and Fabulous' article with a full-page spread showing this rising star has made daytime TV prime time. She is also featured in the same issue as part of 'The Real TV Titans' article in the Emmy Insider section showing Oprah as the current TV Titan and Wendy Williams as next in-line to take over Oprahs reigning title. Wendys previous television work includes a VH-1 series titled Wendy Williams is on Fire.

A mother, wife and best-selling author, Williams built a devoted following from her years as one of radios most popular personalities, winning over legions of fans who couldnt wait to see the host make her television debut. Touted by People Magazine as one of the "Best Shows of 2009", the critically-acclaimed series now has the distinction of being "Must See TV."

Williams, who was inducted into the National Radio Hall of Fame (only the second African American woman to be honored by the organization) in November 2009, parted ways with her top rated radio show The Wendy Williams Experience at the end of July, 2009. The program, which aired on WBLS in New York, was home to over 12 million listeners nationwide.

She is the author of two New York Times bestsellers, Wendys Got The Heat by Simon & Schuster and The Wendy Williams Experience by Dutton Books, as well as several novels. Her latest book, Ritz Harper Goes to Hollywood (Karen Hunter Publishing / Pocket Books), the third installment in her series of Ritz Harper novels, hit shelves in May 2009.

Williams grew up in Ocean Township, New Jersey and currently lives in Northern New Jersey with her husband Kevin Hunter and their son, Kevin, Jr. Williams attended Northeastern University in Boston, MA, earning a Bachelors Degree in communications with a minor in journalism.
