|
Susan Young broke into the fiercely competitive news business at the ripe age of 12. Perched on the banana seat atop her sturdy 1973 green stingray bicycle with wire baskets on the back, Susan delivered newspapers on her neighborhood paper route in Edison, NJ. Since then, she’s been hooked!
Today, Susan’s audiences have dubbed her "The Media Magician." She teaches business, public relations and marketing professionals how to get "free press", how to capture the attention of frazzled editors, inundated broadcast news directors and besieged TV producers. In fact, she spent the first ten years of her career as an inundated news director and reporter at radio stations in the New Jersey/New York media market.
As a media relations consultant and professional speaker, Susan shows people in the business and non-profit sectors how to use the news and mass communications to increase their name recognition, visibility, and revenues. She teaches them how to build credibility and position themselves as experts. Susan also offers presentations, keynote speeches and training on interpersonal communications, showing participants how to communicate with confidence, discover the power of questions and the art of listening, and "Attitude Adjustment 101".
Her fast-growing electronic newsletter called "Life’s A Pitch" reaches people throughout the United States. Susan also writes a monthly column for the Princeton Business Journal titled "Speaking of Communication."
Susan, her husband and their two kids, along with Gus the cat, spend time between San Antonio, TX and East Brunswick, NJ.
