Stephen’s keen understanding of the homeowner has catapulted him into the spotlight in recent years through his work on television and in magazines. This understanding, accompanied by his friendly, approachable and creative style has made design accessible to everyone. In his free time, Stephen also dedicates time to the cause of the saving the arts in our nation's schools.  He believes that exposure to the creative arts in his early education and those dedicated teachers that shared their artistic backgrounds with him are what instilled in him his love of design and appreciation for the arts.  With many schools cutting arts programs from their budgets, he firmly believes that the arts, as part of a school's well-rounded curriculum, should remain available as an important part of the development of our young people.
