In 1999, Shane Tallant walked into the front door of WAWS Fox30 News in Jacksonville, Florida. Fresh off an All-Star college baseball career, Shane had decided to hang up his spikes and pick up a mic, and started what has become a highly successful career in television.  After working nearly every job in a newsroom, including reporter, Shane knew he had found his passion. 

Making his way north to his hometown of Pittsburgh, PA., this self promoted rising star became the entertainment reporter for KDKA (CBS)/WNPA (UPN) nightly news.  After two-plus years of landing exclusive interviews with local and nationally recognized celebrities, Shane kept his feet moving and made his way west to San Francisco, CA. to host the popular Entertainment program The Mixx.

It didn’t take long for people to notice this rising talent and Shane was recognized as ‘One of the TOP 3 up and coming Entertainment Reporters in America and Canada.’  With this recognition Shane was asked to participate in the Oxygen Network’s Highly acclaimed Reality competition ‘Making It BIG”.  Also, as the host of the MIXX, Shane’s no-nonsense approach to journalism had viewers glued to their television sets, and A-list celebrities talking.  So much so, that in 2005, Shane was awarded an EMMY award for ‘Best Program Host.  Being face to face with a laundry list of Hollywood’s biggest names, Shane polished his interviewing skills and prepared himself for what was to come next.

Currently, Shane is the host of HGTV’s # 1 rated program, ‘Designed to Sell’.  After beating out hundreds of applicants, HGTV cast Shane because of his quick wit, charming smile, and ability to capture real moments with homeowners.   ‘Designed to Sell’ airs weeknights at 6pm EST and multiple times on the weekends.
