Detailed Biography of Robert David Hall
|
Having studied acting and improvisation with Gary Austin and Gordon Hunt, Mr. Hall has appeared in such films as “Starship Troopers” and “The Negotiator,” and “Andersonville”, a TNT mini-series that received an Emmy. In television, his roles include guest appearances on “Family Law”, “The Practice” and “The West Wing”.
In 1978, in a car accident, Robert David Hall suffered burns and injury that resulted in the amputation of his two legs. He continued his acting, even portraying a burn survivor in Michael Apted’s “Class Action”. He began advocating for changes regarding the disabled in entertainment through roles on government, professional and charitable boards. Mr. Hall served as an advisor and board member for Media Access Office, which seeks to create opportunities in entertainment for people with disabilities. At Other Voice Playwright’s Lab, his membership has also promoted writing that offers a greater voice to disabled people through theater.
Alongside Mr. Hall substantial efforts to promote disability awareness and opportunities for people with disabilities, he disc jockeys for an alternative music station, announces for national commercials and sings and plays guitar in live bands.
