Detailed Biography of Phil Keoghan
|
Keoghan has worked in over 60 count ies around the world as a television host, producer, writer, and cameraman on more than 1,000 TV episodes.
He has co-created and co-produced a number of original series including: Keoghan's Heroes, an internationally-syndicated show profiling thrill-seekers around the world; Phil Keoghan's Adventure Crazy, one of the highest-rated worldwide series for the Discovery Channel, currently airing in primetime around the world; and The Human Edge, a new technology series premiering on National Geographic Television in 2002. Phil has also hosted FOX After Breakfast, a celebrity-based morning show for the FOX Network, and Surprise, Surprise, a prime-time special airing on the CBS Network. He is currently hosting the Emmy Award winning show, The Amazing Race, a prime-time reality series on CBS , co-produced by Jerry Bruckheimer Productions. The fifth series of this critical acclaimed show will be shot in 2004.
Phil has also served as Travel Correspondent for The Early Show, also on CBS and host of Miss World 2003 shot in China and broadcast to 2.2 billion people around the world. He has been profiled in People magazine and TV Guide, and was featured on Oprah, where he talked to the host about his list of "things to do before you die". Breaking a world bungee record, diving into the world's longest underwater caves, enjoying a five-star meal on the top of an erupting volcano, and getting married underwater... are just part of what Phil has managed to tick off his list.
Phil's latest project is NOW, No Opportunity Wasted where he will give people 72 hours, $3000 and the chance to live out their dream on national television.
