Over 20 years ago, Nicki embarked upon a journey that would change her life forever. After losing close to 50 pounds (which she has kept off to this day), Nicki realized that there was no formal program available to address the needs of the overweight and unfit that really worked – permanently. Through her own weight loss process and lifestyle changes, she was aware that there were many missing pieces when it came to practical healthy living programs. Understanding that exercise and sound nutrition play a key role in healthy living, Nicki’s unique approach to inspiring others came from the motivational pieces. Nicki realized that motivation was the key ingredient missing from most healthy living programs and set out to make her approach known.
While remaining active in health and fitness pursuits, and taking time off to raise her four children, Nicki says she always knew that one day she would own a business that offered individuals a chance to make positive changes through personal exercise education, no-nonsense nutritional guidance and motivational support.
After several years of operating an in-home personal training business, she opened Reality Fitness in 1998. Nicki has helped hundreds of clients develop and maintain a dedication to healthy living. In her book, “Reality Fitness, Inspiration for your Health and Well-being,” which details her personal journey and philosophy, she offers straight talk on breaking through negative thought patterns, guidelines on setting realistic goals, and simple approaches to nutrition. Her passion continues to focus on women, children and families. Reviewers have said of Nicki’s book:
“Her writing style is clear and inspiring and makes you want to begin “doing” as soon as you finish the first chapter.”
“Her approach to nutrition is not far out, nor are her suggestions on exercise.”
“Anderson is proof that a long-term approach to fitness works. Over 20 years ago she lost 48 pounds and has kept the weight off through four pregnancies by adopting a sensible lifestyle incorporating exercise and good nutrition.”
“A compendium of sensible advice and personal insights that come from the history of her own transformation as well as from her professional expertise.”
