Biography of Neil Howe

 He is currently a marketing, personnel, and government affairs consultant to corporate and nonprofit clients. His current titles include: Founding Partner of LifeCourse Associates, Senior Advisor on Public Policy to the Blackstone Group, Senior Advisor to the Concord Coalition, and Senior Associate at the Center for Strategic and International Studies.

Neil has spoken and written extensively on the collective personalities of today's generations - who they are, what motivates them, and how they will shape America's future. He is also a recognized authority on long-term fiscal policy and global aging. His articles have appeared in The Atlantic, The Washington Post, The New York Times, American Demographics, USA Weekend, and other national publications. He coauthored On Borrowed Time in 1988; and (with William Strauss) Generations in 1991, 13th-Gen in 1993, and The Fourth Turning in 1997. Millennials Rising (2000) focuses on today's rising generation of kids and teens. LifeCourse Associates has since released several application books on Millennials - for the military, colleges, pop-culture producers, and the workplace. Neil Howe's work with Millennials on colleges and in the military was featured by CBS' 60 Minutes in the fall of 2004.

Generations, said Newsweek, is "a provocative, erudite and engaging analysis of the rhythms of American life". Vice President Al Gore called it "the most simulating book on American history that I have ever read" and sent a copy to every member of Congress. Newt Gingrich called it "an intellectual tour de force". 13th-Gen remains the best-selling nonfiction book ever written about Generation X. Howe lives in Great Falls, VA, with his wife, Simona, and two children, Giorgia and Nathaniel.
