During his 17 years with The Gallup Organization, Marcus Buckingham led their research into the world's best managers, leaders and workplaces. In Now, Discover Your Strengths, Buckingham introduces the StrengthsFinderr profile to the world and provides readers the chance to discover their five strongest themes of talent. His third book, The One Thing You Need To Know will be published in the Spring of 2005.

Buckingham uses over 150,000 interviews collected over the last 25 years by Gallup Organization to expose the fallacy of standard business practices - there is no standard model for success. He outlines four keys to becoming an excellent manager: finding the right fit for employees, focusing on strengths of employees, defining the right results, and selecting staff for talent - not just knowledge and skills. He also offers audiences specific techniques for helping people perform better on the job.

With an expertise in Leadership, Management and Reinventing an Organization, Buckingham explains why rules are for breaking. His research indicates that great business managers have one thing in common: a willingness to break the rules and to step outside the boundaries. Buckingham graduated from Cambridge University in 1987, with a masters degree in social and political science.
