




Star of Bravo's smash hit "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy"
Prior to his acclaim as the health and beauty expert on Bravo's Emmy award winning "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy", Kyan Douglas garnered praise and professional experience in the fields of skincare, hair and fitness. Apart from the show's success, Kyan welcomes a wide range of opportunities to further his branding potential. In 2004 Kyan teamed up with global beauty brand L'Oreal Paris as the first ever male spokesperson to endorse products for both women and men, joining the likes of Beyonce Knowles, Milla Jovovich, Natalia Vodianova, and Heather Locklear. This year Kyan launched his first book dedicated to all the women in his life, "Beautified: Secrets for Women to Look great and Feel Fabulous". With "Beautified" Kyan reaches out to women with instruction for an improved lifestyle through better hair care, skincare, diet, fitness and sense of spirit. In May of 2004, Kyan was asked to host Allure magazine's 2004 Beauty Awards and also lends his support to such charitable organizations as AMFAR and the B.CAUSE committee benefiting DIFFA, alongside his peers Pat McGrath, Serge Normant, Oribe, Ric Pipino, and Orlando Pita.
In addition to the honor of being named one of People magazine's "50 Most Beautiful People," Kyan has been profiled or featured in international magazines and news publications including: Allure, Glamour, Vanity Fair, People, Entertainment Weekly, In Style , Out, Us Weekly, Women's Wear Daily, Time, Newsweek. Kyan also contributed to the Queer Eye book, "The Fab Five's Guide to Looking Better, Cooking Better, Dressing Better, Behaving Better & Living Better".

Kyan is a beauty authority for women and men. When he's not advising his male and female fans, Kyan dedicates his time to his other interests, which include: yoga, pilates, and the healing arts. Upon graduating from Loyola University in New Orleans, Kyan received extensive training in massage therapy at the famed Blue Cliff School. Later, he went on to receive his certification in cosmetology from the Aveda Institute in New York. There he trained in their intensive hair care program and graduated to colorist. Kyan eventually mastered the art of hair coloring under the direction of Nick Arrojo. Born & raised in Florida, Kyan currently resides in New York City.
