Detailed Biography of Kirby Wilbur
|
|
Mr. Wilbur has worked for the King County Assessor and as a real estate appraiser. He founded his own firm, Liberty Consultants, in 1985 and began work as a talk show host in 1993. His political involvement began in high school in 1968 with Young Americans for Freedom. He has served in a variety of leadership positions, including Young Republican state chairman, national vice chairman, Young Republican representative to the United States Youth Congress, alternate delegate to the Republican National Convention in 1984, and delegate to the Republican National Conventions in 1988, 1992, and 1996. He has also served as a Republican district chairman, platform chairman of the state Republican Party and precinct committee officer. His political heroes are Ronald Reagan, Margaret Thatcher, and the Founding Fathers, particularly the Virginians.
Mr. Wilbur considers himself an amateur historian with particular interest in the American War for Independence and the Civil War. He enjoys reading, his family, and a good cigar, not necessarily in that order.
