Joe Piscatella
Best-selling author and international speaker Joseph C. Piscatella is one of the country's most respected experts on lifestyle habits, health, and productivity.

Joe knows the science of healthy, balanced living. More importantly, he puts a face on that science. "...teaching that 'good health is a choice' is not an academic exercise for me," he says. "I learned that message the hard way by going through my bypass surgery at age 32. For me it was a 'teachable moment.'"
Since that time, he has labored to create "teachable moments" for others, practical advice on how to achieve a healthy lifestyle in the real world. He wrote his first book, Don't Eat Your Heart Out Cookbook, several years after his surgery and has hosted a six-part PBS series titled The Business of Better Health. Since then, he has written Choices for a Healthy Heart, Controlling Your Fat Tooth, Fat-Proof Your Child, and Fat-Gram Guide to Restaurant Food; used by over 5,500 hospitals for cardiac education programs.
Piscatella is President of the Institute for Fitness and Health, Inc. and serves as consultant to the U.S. Army's Family Fitness Program. A frequent guest on television and radio, he regularly contributes to numerous national publications. He is also a member of the American Association of Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation, the Association for Fitness in Business, and the National Wellness Association.
