She received her doctorate from Harvard Medical School, where she also completed three post-doctoral fellowships in experimental pathology. She is the co-founder and former director of the Mind/Body Clinic at Beth Israel/Deaconess Hospital in Boston, and a former instructor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School. A pioneer in integrative medicine, her work encompasses mind/body medicine, women's health, and spirituality.
