Biography of Jeff Thredgold

Jeff Thredgold is President and Chief Executive Officer of Thredgold Economic Associates, LLC, an economic consulting and professional speaking company based in Salt Lake City, Utah.

His career includes 23 years with KeyCorp, one of the nation's largest financial services companies, stretching from Maine to Alaska and with assets of nearly $70 billion, where he served as senior vice president and chief economist.

Thredgold appears regularly on CNBC-TV, the nation's business network, as well as on CNN, and is quoted frequently in such publications as The Wall Street Journal, USA TODAY, Investor's Business Daily, Fortune, and Business Week. He is a monthly contributor for the national publication Blue Chip Financial Forecasts and quarterly USA TODAY economic forecast surveys. He writes a weekly economic and financial newsletter entitled the Tea Leaf, which is distributed around the country. The Tea Leaf is also the featured economic commentary on the world's largest investor information system, the DTN network.

Thredgold is a member of the National Speakers Association and has spoken more than 650 times during the past 9 years, traveling more than one million miles in the process. He has served as an adjunct professor of finance at the University of Utah for the past 14 years and is a member of the National Association of Business Economists.
