Detailed Biography of Jason Zweig
|
He has a B.A. from Columbia College and also spent a year studying Middle Eastern culture and history at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Israel. From 1983 to 1985 he was an editorial assistant at Africa Report, a bimonthly international affairs magazine in New York. He worked at Time Inc. from 1985 to 1987, finishing as a reporter-researcher for Time magazine's Economy & Business section. Zweig joined Forbes as a reporter in 1987, became a staff writer in 1989, an associate editor in 1990, and a senior editor in 1992, when he also took charge of Forbes' extensive mutual funds coverage. He joined Money as a senior writer in 1995.
Zweig's radio and TV appearances include ABC's Nightline with Ted Koppel, CNBC, CNN, National Public Radio's Marketplace, and PBS' NewsHour with Jim Lehrer. Zweig also serves on the editorial advisory boards for Financial History magazine and The Journal of Psychology and Financial Markets. He is a trustee of the Museum of American Financial History in New York, the country's only museum documenting the development of the capital markets.
