|
With a specialization in programs for healthcare providers, Greg Risberg, draws on his experiences as a consultant and educator at Loyola University Medical Center and Northwestern University Hospital in Chicago to offer useful ways of improving communication, handling stress, and achieving balance in our lives. With presentations described as "hilariously informative," Risberg has shared his "humor with a message" programs with audiences in both the United States and abroad for over 20 years.
Involving his audiences with funny and poignant stories that touch hearts as well as minds, Risberg works to renew hope in people. Reminding them of their own intrinsic value, he helps audiences determine what is most important in their lives. While his message appeals to a wide variety of groups, from educators to bankers, from mechanical contractors to government agencies, Risberg has gained a specialization by working with professionals in the healthcare field.
Risberg is a member of the National Speakers Association, which awarded him their highest earned designation of Certified Speaking Professional in 2001. He is one of only 500 people in the entire country to earn this certification. Risberg is also a member of the Professional Speakers of Illinois, a group which awarded him their Wordsmith award for excellence in speaking. He holds a BA degree in psychology from Roosevelt University and a Masters Degree in social work from the Jane Addams School of Social Work in Chicago. He is the author of Touch: A Personal Workbook, and the soon to be published 52 Ways to Fill Your Life with Humor, Happiness and Hope.
