Since his retirement from the Minnesota Vikings in 1996, Fuad Reveiz has played a major role in the popularity growth of the NFL among Spanish language football fans in the U.S. and Central and South America. As the featured NFL analyst for ESPN on their ESPN International and ESPNdeportes networks, Fuad brings a unique combination of first-hand NFL experience and an understanding of the millions of Spanish speaking- football fans that ESPN’s broadcasts reach each week. Fuad’s access to current NFL players, and his understanding of the game, allows him to provide insights to his audiences that are normally only available to them through conventional, English-speaking broadcasters. He also shares his insights through periodic live chats and columns on ESPNdeportes.com.

In addition to his duties with ESPN, Fuad serves as President of Reveiz and Co., which operates several business interests. These include a custom home construction company, a custom embroidery company, and a business specializing in Spanish language marketing. Reveiz Custom Homes was founded in 1995, and provides custom residential and commercial construction to citizens and businesses of the East Tennessee area. Goalpost, Incorporated is a Minneapolis, MN based company providing custom embroidery services to retailers and other groups, and has also been in business since 1995. The Spanish language marketing arm of Reveiz and Co. has provided translation and Spanish market consulting services for such organizations as the National Football League, NFL Europe, the NFL Players Association, and the University of Tennessee Agriculture Department in Knoxville, TN.

During his 11-year NFL career, Fuad earned numerous game, week, and season honors as an all-star kicker including being named All-Pro in 1994, a trip to the Pro Bowl that same year, and being named winner of Pro Football Weekly’s Golden Toe Award multiple times. Fuad literally kicked his way into the NFL record books against the Detroit Lions on September 10, 1995 when he tied and broke an NFL record with his 29th and 30th consecutive field goals made. His streak reached 31 before a 48-yard miss against Dallas a week later. In 1994, he was awarded the Golden Toe Award as the season’s best kicker or punter, highlighting a season that included being 5 for 5 on field goals in two different games (Tampa on 10/30 and Buffalo on 12/11). Fuad began his career with the Miami Dolphins as a 7th round draft choice, and was named the team’s Rookie of the Year in the 1985 season.

Fuad’s college career at Tennessee included being named All-Southeastern Conference three times, setting an NCAA record for percentage of field goals made over 40 yards, and setting school records for most points scored, field goals made, field goals attempted, field goal percentage and extra point percentage.

Fuad and his wife, Gayle, have three children, Nicholas, Shane, and Bryanna. They reside in the Knoxville, TN area, and are active in their local church, school, and athletic arenas. Fuad also has served on the local boards of Fellowship of Christian Athletes (Tennessee Chapter), and Concord Christian School (located in Knoxville, TN). He also leads the Phillip Fulmer Kicking Camp at the University of Tennessee each summer.
