Biography of Don Schmincke

A graduate of MIT and Johns Hopkins, Don's controversial and provocative approach uses anthropology and genetic evolutionary science to show why many leadership, strategy, and change programs fail and offers unique and astonishing alternatives to dispel "program-of-the-month" pop-management theories.

An international speaker, Don has toured the military as a guest of the U.S. Secretary of Defense (he's still recovering from being shot off an aircraft carrier) and traveled extensively throughout the world including the former Soviet bloc, Africa and Asia in order to research this topic. His provocative yet refreshing approach entertains thousands of executives each year with remarkable and thought-provoking insights. His award-winning work has made him a leading global authority and in high demand: he was recently recognized as a top speaker by an 8,000 member CEO organization.

Don has hosted the Executive Insights cable series, The Leader's Code radio program and founded the SAGA Worldwide, LLC, consulting group for implementing extraordinary strategy and leadership in organizations using his timeless, ancient insights. It is the result of his experience in transforming his own TEC group after having cancelled several marketing events due to lack of interest, losing several members due to financial difficulties, being in an area hit hard by the recession, and having considered folding. By utilizing methods from his consulting practice for turning crisis groups into successful teams, Don was able to activate the group to take responsibility for its future; it almost doubled its size in sixty days.
