Biography of Dinesh D'Souza

D'Souza is currently the Robert and Karen Rishwain Fellow at Stanford University's Hoover Institution and his most recent publication is his 2002 book, "What's So Great About America?", which the Wall Street Journal says "...offers sharp and poignant observations on freedom and opportunity".In the book, D'Souza takes on a trio of alleged "sins" committed by America and the West: slavery, colonialism and decadence. Examining what makes the United States unique in geopolitics, D'Souza says his work offers "the grounds for a solid well-considered patriotism - the sort of patriotism that America will need to sustain itself in the many challenges that lie ahead".

His other books include "Letters To A Young Conservative" (2002), "The Virtue Of Prosperity: Finding Values In An Age Of Techno-Affluence" (2000), "Ronald Reagan: How An Ordinary Man Became An Extraordinary Leader" (1997), "The End Of Racism" (1995) and "Illiberal Education" (1991).D'Souza's articles on culture and politics have appeared in Vanity Fair, Forbes, Harper's, the Wall Street Journal, Atlantic Monthly, the Washington Post and the New York Times. He has been featured on numerous television programs, including "This Week With David Brinkley," "Nightline," "Crossfire," "Firing Line," "Good Morning America," and "Politically Incorrect."He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Dartmouth College in 1983.
