Detailed Biography of Claire Schooley
|
Her current efforts focus on researching the fast-growing area of eLearning from both corporate and university perspectives. She advises clients on eLearning program configurations and vendors and writes about how people learn, how knowledge transfer happens, and how eLearning can assist in this process.
Previous Work Experience:-
Claire has more than 20 years of experience in education and technical training. She came to Forrester through its acquisition of Giga Information Group. Prior to joining Giga, she was director of the Grants Resource Center at the Alameda County Office of Education. Her charter was to create the vision, plan development, and set policy for a resource and technical assistance center for educators and community members, as well as to develop and produce eLearning courses for educators.
Previously, Claire directed and managed math and science technology training institutes, which assisted educators in integrating technology into the public school curriculum, at Lawrence Hall of Science, University of California, Berkeley. She also evaluated computer and video coursework and produced video programs.
Additionally, Claire served as director of Instruction Television Service for KQED in San Francisco. She developed the broadcast service for schools and produced educational programs for children and adults.
Education:-
Claire holds a B.S. from Bridgewater State College and an M.S. in education from Northeastern University and has completed doctoral work in elementary education at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
