Detailed Biography of Christopher S. Frings
|
|
Dr. Frings has over 30 years of senior management experience. He was Director of Clinical Chemistry and Toxicology, and Senior Vice President at a large regional reference clinical laboratory for 20 years prior to becoming a full time consultant and speaker in 1987. The author of more than 150 publications, he is a clinical professor (part time) at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He is certified by the American Board of Bioanalysis (ABB) as a Clinical Laboratory Director (HCLD) and received the Certified Speaking Professional (CSP) from the National Speakers Association (NSA). He received a B.S. from the University of Alabama (Tuscaloosa) and a Ph.D. from Purdue University. Each year, for the past 20 years, the American Association for Clinical Chemistry (AACC) has honored Dr. Frings with one of their outstanding speaker awards. Dr. Frings received the AACC Award for Outstanding Contributions in Education in 1997. He received the AACC Management Sciences Division’s first award for outstanding contributions to the management sciences in 2001. He received the magician of the year award five times in Alabama. Dr. Frings is president of his consulting and speaking business in Birmingham, Alabama, Chris Frings & Associates. He is a nationally recognized speaker in the areas of success strategies, managing change, time management, reaching goals, and leadership strategies. Chris is often called “the magical speaker” because he incorporates magic (illusions) and a splash of humor into his programs. He is the author of three books published by AACC Press --- The Hitchhiker’s Guide to Effective Time Management, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to Self-Management & Leadership Strategies For Success, and How to Start & Maintain A Consulting Practice.
