Detailed Biography of Bill Duggan
|
Bill Duggan is a proud fifth-generation native of San Francisco, CA. As part of a large gregarious Irish-Catholic family, his relatives claim his career began headlining home dinners with impersonations, dance numbers, and the occasional food fight (sorry sis).
Bill's admiration for the performing arts was fostered on stage and as a member of the theater audience. He was active in his grade school speech program (he had no choice), high school theatre productions, and graduated from Santa Clara University, where he received an acting scholarship. After graduation, he began to pursue acting professionally throughout the San Francisco Bay area both on stage and in front of the camera.
Off camera, Bill “putters around the house” and within the homes of family & friends, taking on landscape irrigation, plumbing, painting, electrical, fencing and tiling challenges. He's definitely a hard working guy, not afraid of getting his hands dirty when it comes to home improvement projects. Bill would rather find a way to make it himself then buy it over the counter.
Bill also enjoys the world of politics, having previously interned on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. and within San Francisco City Hall.
Bill Duggan now resides in Hollywood and is blessed to be working as an actor & host. He can be found hanging out in the neighborhood walking his dog, taking hikes and working on the house.
After having bounced around the country to promote & pitch Drambuie and Top Choice Fire Ant Prevention, Bill is back on TV working with . Prior to this he hosted HGTV's Curb Appeal and the CW's pre-game TV party with the San Francisco 49ers.
Bill's credits include numerous television commercials and print ads. As an actor, he has appeared on the following shows:
Curb Appeal, The Shield, Nash Bridges, General Hospital, The Girl Next Door, Rapid Guy Movement, Dangerous Minds, Copycat, Princess Dairies II, First Years and Zoom Experience. His theatre credits include Eugene in Brighton Beach Memoirs, Gary in Noises Off, Claudio in Much Ado About Nothing & Measure for Measure, Lucas in Laughter on the 23rd Floor, Paul in A Chorus Line and Baby John in West Side Story. Other shows include: Camelot, South Pacific, A Lady in the Dark, Grapes of Wrath, Stand-Up Tragedy.
