In the early 1970's, Johnny Miller emerged from the pack of professional golfers to become one of the world's premier players. He's won 24 PGA TOUR events in his career, 2 major championships (U.S. Open and British Open) and other international championships worldwide. As a result, Johnny Miller has established himself as one of golf's greats. And he has been recognized as such with his election to the World Golf Hall of Fame. Every year, with every new achievement, his name garners more and more respect
As a media commentator and course designer, Johnny Miller enjoys a solid, unwavering reputation. His integrity, honesty, knowledge and great love for the game have earned him the honor of being considered one of golf's distinguished international ambassadors.
Taking on his first assignment as a golf course design consultant in the mid-70's, Miller quickly moved to the forefront of the field. A few years later, with long time business associate Brent Turley, he formed his own design business and saw it become one of the industry's most respected golf course design firms. Today, JMD golf courses span the globe.
JMD courses throughout the world have been the venues for golf tournament championship play including Collingtree Park Golf Course in Northampton, England, which was the site for the PGA European Tour's British Masters and The Collingtree Seniors Classic; Binks Forest Country Club in Florida was the site for the 1990 PGA TOUR's Team Championship, and Wingfield Golf Club near Nikko, Japan, hosted the Sazale Queens Golf Tournament, a Japanese LPGA Tour event.
