Four-time Eclipse Award winner as the Trainer of the Year; Nation's leading money-earning trainer from 1983-1992 & 1994-1997; From from 1994-1996, D. Wayne Lukas captured an unprecedented six consecutive Triple Crown events, seven of eight, and ten classics in all. He has won a record 13 Breeder's Cup races.
In addition to his vast accomplishment on the track, D. Wayne Lukas has also made his mark off the training grounds. Put simply, E. Wayne is regarded as one of this country's top motivational speakers.
With a Masters Degree in Education from the University of Wisconsin and years of motivating students and athletes, D. Wayne has entertained and influence some of the nation's top corporations and organizations.
D. Wayne Lukas is able to effectively motivate and direct people, no matter what their profession, through a mixture of his own experiences, humor and knowledge garnered over his nearly 40 years in business. He continues to attract a wide variety of corporate America as a guest speaker and is influential for many on a spokesperson level.
D. Wayne Lukas started by racing his pony at the Antigo, Wisconsin Fairgrounds. At the urging of his mother, he attended and earned his Masters degree in Education and became the Assistant Basketball Coach at the University of Wisconsin. He was a head basketball coach at LaCrosse, Wisconsin's Logan High School. While there, D. Wayne raced horses during the summer at Park Jefferson racetrack in South Dakota. |
