Tony Dorsett
Dorsett piled up some incredible numbers as a college and professional running back. He was the first player in NCAA history to rush for more than 1,000 yards in each of four seasons at the University of Pittsburgh, where he gained a record 6,082 yards and scored 58 touchdowns in 1,133 attempts. As a junior in 1975, Dorsett gained 303 yards in 23 attempts against Notre Dame.

Marcus Allen was a Heisman Trophy winner and set 12 NCAA records at USC. In 1982 he was drafted by the Oakland Raiders and was named Rookie of the Year. In 1984 Marcus won the Super Bowl XVIII MVP award. He joined the Chiefs as a free agent in 1993 and was named MVP for them in 1993 and 1995.

Paul Hornung
He was probably the greatest all-around player in Notre Dame's history and is the only Heisman winner to have played on a losing team as the Irish were 2-8 in '56. As almost every football fan knows, Hornung went to the Green Bay Packers, led the NFL in scoring for three straight years and was voted MVP in 1960 and 1961.

Roger Staubach
Quarterback Roger Staubach is the hallmark of athletic excellence and sportsmanship. Hailed by Navy coach Wayne Hardin as "the greatest quarterback the Navy ever had," Staubach is the 4th junior to win the Heisman Trophy. In 1963, he completed more than 115 passes, nine for touchdowns, and, as a sophomore, was the leading percentage passer in the nation.
