Stefan Swanepoel is widely recognized as the leading visionary on trends and change in the residential real estate industry. He is an excellent communicator and high-energy speaker, weaving rapidly through complex subject matter in an informational and entertaining manner. His enthusiasm is contagious and his messages are optimistic and intermingled with interesting statistics and thought provoking ideas. As a result, he has been the keynote speaker at almost every major real estate event in the industry during the last few years.

Before making California his home in 1994, Swanepoel lived on three continents and developed a broad international business background. He has served as President of a construction company, President of a property development company, Managing Partner of an appraisal firm, President of a national real estate franchise, President and CEO of a software and internet company and Chairman and CEO a diversified real estate brokerage company in California that owned and operated divisions in residential real estate brokerage, commercial real estate brokerage, mortgage brokerage, escrow and insurance.

In 1997 Swanepoel started the popular "Real Estate confronts" series with Real Estate confronts Reality, (ranked as the #1 Real Estate Business Book for 1998 by Amazon.com). This was followed by the 1999 Whitepaper Real Estate confronts Technology, the 300-page evaluation of the top 75 online real estate companies Real Estate confronts the e-Consumer at the height of the dotcom boom in 2000, the controversial 2001 Whitepaper Real Estate confronts the Banks, the 2003 Whitepaper entitled Real Estate confronts Profitability, the 2004 Whitepaper entitled Real Estate confronts Customer Acquisition and the 2004 sequel to Real Estate confronts Reality entitled Real Estate confronts the Future (264p Thomson Publishing).

His academic accomplishments include a bachelor’s degree in science, a master’s in business economics (cum laude) and diplomas in arbitration, computer science, marketing and mergers and acquisitions. Stefan has received numerous awards including; Businessman of the Year (Jaycees), Best Idea in Real Estate (Great Ideas Conference), has been ranked as one of the Top 20 Most Influential People in the Real Estate Industry (Today's REALTOR®) and was listed one of the Top 15 Technology Trainers in the US (CyberSpace Society).

In 1994 Stefan, his wife and their two sons immigrated to the United States. Based on outstanding abilities they were accepted as Permanent Residents in 1996 and became US citizens in 2002. Today they live in Laguna Niguel, California.
