Pat Stonehouse is a leading authority, widely recognized speaker, and frequently quoted expert in the areas of corporate image consulting, business etiquette and international protocol. As founder and President of Advancing With Style she was one of the first in North America to focus on the image and business etiquette requirements of corporations and entrepreneurs. She began her image consulting career with Color Me Beautiful in 1982, and was personally trained by Carole Jackson the author of the number one best seller Color Me Beautiful. She served as Regional Coordinator, and was one of only seven worldwide to achieve the Platinum Award for Achievement. After tremendous success she founded her own company Image International in 1984. She continued to develop new courses and trained some of the top consultants in the field. In 1994 she sold her business to accept a managerial position with a Fortune 100 company. Eventually she returned to consulting by opening Advancing With Style. Besides being a pioneer in the image and business etiquette arena, Pat brings with her direct corporate experience having worked in management within a Fortune 100 company. She understands the challenges and issues corporations face when it comes to projecting and maintaining a professional image, exhibiting proper workplace conduct and entertaining clients. During her career she has worked with over 600 companies and delivered more than 1500 seminars worldwide. Her client list includes many notable organizations, including American Express, Stryker, Citigroup, Liebherr, Merrill Lynch, Black & McDonald, The Department of National Defense, The Royal Canadian Mint, Xerox and IBM. She has worked both here and abroad, with numerous political figures, diplomats, Olympians, and even royalty. Pat Stonehouse is the author of the book E-mail Etiquette For Every Office. March is National E-mail Etiquette Month, an event that she founded to teach people e-mail etiquette and to encourage them to be more respectful when corresponding by e-mail. Pat holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Winnipeg, Manitoba. She is a graduate of the Protocol School of Washington, the leader in protocol and etiquette training. She was trained and certified in Image Consulting by Carole Jackson of Color Me Beautiful, and trained in Professional Presence by Susan Bixler of Bixler Consulting Group.
