Minka Kelly (born June 24, 1980) is an American actress. She currently stars in the NBC series Friday Night Lights as Lyla Garrity. Kelly was born in Los Angeles, California,[1] and was raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She is the daughter of former Aerosmith guitarist Rick Dufay,[2] who had abandoned her and her mother.[3] According to Kelly, her childhood was "pretty rough," and that's why she resents Dufay. However, at seventeen, she decided to try and reconcile and invited him out to New Mexico.[3] She recently finished shooting Universal's The Kingdom, in a small cameo role alongside Jamie Foxx and Chris Cooper. Peter Berg, the same director from Friday Night Lights, directed the film. Kelly dated Donald Faison in 2005.[5] and had a brief relationship with actor Chris Evans, as well.
