His clients include Governors Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jeb Bush, Mitt Romney, John Engler, Tommy Thompson, and Christine Todd Whitman, plus Senators Lamar Alexander, Bob Dole, and Jeff Sessions, as well as many other GOP leaders. Murphy is best known for his work as senior strategist for Senator John McCain's 2000 Presidential campaign. Mike Murphy is a senior partner of Navigators: Anderson, Murphy, Pitts, Conda LLC, an elite team of lobbyists, political strategists, and public relations experts offering integrated campaigns to solve difficult public policy problems. He and his partners advise Fortune 500 corporations, leading interest groups, and political leaders on advertising and positioning strategy, communications, and public policy issues. Murphy is also a writer and producer in the entertainment business. He has worked for CNBC's Dennis Miller Show, and is now busy developing television and film projects.
