Katie Brown has built a brand based on the belief that “keeping it simple” will encourage her audience.  With her Midwestern charm and girl-next-door persona, she puts them at ease and takes them on a journey of discovery on how to build a sense of tradition and community, and how to implement innovative ways to make their house a home.

Starting in April 2006, Katie will bring her signature style to a new show on Public Television, Katie Brown Workshop.  Each weekly half-hour episode will be divided into three main segments: cooking, gardening, and decorating.  This series will be filmed in her real life workshop, assisted by her real life workshop team.  Each episode will address one universal topic and Katie will present 3 quick, easy, affordable, fun and unique solutions. 

Katie Brown is a nationally recognized television personality and frequently appears on Oprah, Good Morning America, Live with Regis & Kelly, and The Tonight Show.  Katie has also hosted shows on Lifetime, A&E, and the Style Network.  Katie is also a best selling author who has signed a 4-book deal with Time Warner’s Bulfinch Imprint, the first of which, Katie Brown’s Weekends is in bookstores now.  Katie Brown’s weekly column with the New York Times Syndicate can be found in newspapers across the country.
