As a Focalpoint principal, Don Neal provides high-level strategic counsel to clients, with a focus on brand marketing and integrated customer communications, in the business-to-business and business-to-consumer environments. Neal has fifteen years of experience in retail and packaged goods marketing, relationship and database marketing, and corporate account sales strategies. An acclaimed speaker at conferences, trade associations, and corporate symposiums, Neal is a national expert on the subjects of customer retention, Customer Relationship Management and loyalty program development. He has developed the concept of the "Emotional EKG," which he addresses in articles and a presentation entitled Building Customer Loyalty for Life. Neal has also served numerous times as Chairperson for the Strategic Research Institute's highly acclaimed successful Relationship Marketing Strategies Conference, speaking to "Reality v. Rhetoric" in Customer Relationship Management programs. Prior to joining Focalpoint, he was the Director of Marketing, Business Development and Strategic Alliances for Hallmark Cards, focused on Relationship Marketing and database-driven communications. Before launching this new division at Hallmark, Neal successfully served in each of Hallmark Card's four major divisions, including new product development, consumer-packaged goods marketing, brand development, and corporate account sales management.
