Conner is the founder and CEO of ODR Inc., an Atlanta-based consulting and research firm dedicated to the study of how leaders manage major change, ODR is devoted exclusively to assisting companies in "how" they can prepare for and execute change decisions on time and within budget.

Since founding ODR in 1974, Conner has addressed hundreds of companies and thousands of executives in internal corporate forums, at national conferences, and public programs on the subjects of managing change, personal resilience, and building nimble organizations. As a result of his speaking, consulting, and writing, he has positively influenced people throughout the world, including those in the United States, Canada, Latin America, Western and Eastern Europe, South Africa, Asia, and Australia. Many of the most successful organizations in the world, including Fortune 500 companies, government agencies, non-profit institutions, and multinational firms have chosen Conner and ODR as their source for change management expertise.

Conner's research and training in organizational consulting and his master's degree in behavioral psychology provided the foundation for his approach to studying the impact of change. Encompassing nearly over 30 years of Conner's work with organizations, ODR remains the only company in the world to have formulated and refined a methodology for optimizing an organization's change initiatives through the unique Human Due Diligence process.
