Bill has over 25 years of experience providing branding strategies to the fashion industry. He has held senior executive positions in marketing, advertising and merchandising in men's, women's, and children's apparel companies, and was a part-time senior lecturer for 15 years in market research and communications at The Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York City. Bill maintains extensive industry-wide contacts with manufacturers, retailers and opinion leaders. He has been featured in apparel industry trade publications and national newspapers, such as WWD and The New York Times, providing analysis of consumer trends. Bill is also a frequent keynote speaker at industry organizations and institutions, including The American Apparel & Footwear Association and The Executive Management Program at The Fashion Institute of Technology. Bill’s education includes a Bachelor of Arts from Ohio State, a Masters from the City University of New York, and a PhD from the New School. He has also been a Ford Foundation Fellow at Vanderbilt University and a National Endowment for the Humanities Fellow at Princeton University.
