Barbara Eden, everyone's favorite Jeannie, is one of America's most endearing and enduring stars. Her long-running series "I Dream of Jeannie" has been on television globally for 35 uninterrupted years since beginning its five-year network run in 1965. It continues to be one of television's most popular family shows, airing on cable and in national syndication around the world.

Eden has starred in a score of feature films, five television series, fifteen top-rated television movies and, as a singer, has headlined at many of America's top hotel resorts and casinos in Lake Tahoe, Atlantic City and Las Vegas, including the MGM Grand, Caesar's Palace, Desert Inn and Harrah's, as well as on concert stages and in theaters around the country.

The busy star's recent activities include in-depth interviews on "Good Morning America" and "20/20," a solo hour on "Larry King Live," an hour-long profile on Lifetime's "Intimate Portrait," and a profile on A&E's "Biography." She's also had a starring role in the national company female version of Neil Simon's "The Odd Couple," as well as a recurring starring role as the matriarchal Aunt Irma in the WB's "Sabrina: The Teenage Witch."

Following high school, Eden studied music at the San Francisco Conservatory and sang with bands in the Bay Area on weekends. Performing not only helped pay her way at City College in San Francisco, but the experience gave her the poise that helped her win a scholarship in a theater group. In spring of 1990, she was honored with an honory doctor of law degree from the University of West Los Angeles School of Law.

Eden works actively on behalf of numerous national and local charities, including such organizations as the American Cancer Society, the Wellness Community, the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the March of Dimes, the American Heart Association, Save the Children, and ChildHelp. She also uses her star power to help parents recognize the signs of drug abuse, a cause she's taken up following the loss of her own son to an overdose.
